I photograph women the way I'd like to be photographed myself
My name is Marika Roseberg. I'm an Edinburgh-based editorial portrait photographer working with women across two distinct moments: when they need to be seen for the work they do and when they want to be seen for who they have become. The visual language is the same in both: studio-shot, magazine-grade, designed to last.
The studio takes a small number of clients each year, deliberately. The work is intimate and considered, made with a small team and built around an experience that I want every woman who steps in front of my camera to remember.

What to expect

The Consultation
A 30-minute call, by phone or video, with no obligation. We discuss why you've come, what you'd like to walk away with and which of the two experiences fits the moment you're in.

Style & Wardrobe
A second conversation, focused on what you'll wear. In person at the studio for The Heirloom Experience and The Brand Library; otherwise by phone or video, with a moodboard sent ahead.

Hair & Makeup
The day begins in the makeup chair. Hair and makeup take roughly ninety minutes. Never a "natural" look, but a considered one. The aim is the best version of yourself, not a different one.

The Photoshoot
You'll be directed throughout. Posing is my responsibility, not yours – you do not need to know how. Most clients find the experience surprisingly fun, occasionally emotional and always faster than they expected.

The Reveal
For Portrait Experience clients, we meet again two to three weeks later for an in-person reveal at the studio with your favourites chosen together, your prints, folios and wall-art selected calmly. For Editorial clients, the reveal is a video call and the digital files follow within days.

Delivery
Digital files within fourteen days of the reveal. Physical heirloom products (folio boxes, framed prints, wall art) hand-finished and posted within six to eight weeks of selection. Each one signed by the studio.
